Bryan was born November 4, 1949, in Miami, Florida. His mother was Rose Saluk Alterman, and his father was Sidney Alterman. He attended Florida State University and obtained his master’s degree in social work in 1974. Additionally, Bryan was a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Colorado and was certified in Alcohol and Addiction Counseling.
On May 21, 1983, Bryan married his best friend, Ellie Peaceman. They were very happily married until his death; just shy of 41 years.
Bryan had dual careers in his lifetime. He worked for many years in his family’s trucking business as VP of Operations. After his move to Colorado in 1989, Bryan worked for Social Services as a Child Protection Service Worker. He began a private practice providing various types of counseling in the late 1990’s, and continued to help couples, children, and families, until his retirement in 2002.
Bryan lived in Louisville, Colorado with his wife, Ellie and his dog, Rachel.
Bryan is survived by his wife, Ellie; son, Josh; brother, Rick; niece Abbie, brother-in-law, Mark Peaceman, and many cousins. He was predeceased in death by his father, Sidney; mother, Rose; and brother John. Bryan cherished his family and friends.
Bryan will be laid to rest on Thursday, April 18, 2024. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm at Green Mountain Cemetery in Boulder, Colorado. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Crist Mortuary.

Truth, Love, and Compassion are the words that best describe this giant of a person. Bryan will always be remembered in the hearts of those who loved him. He was a kind and generous person to all.
