Loving Grandmother and Cherished Friend.
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol DeBels, a remarkable woman who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She departed this world on January 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and indelible memories.
Born on January 31, 1948, Carol embarked on a journey marked by unwavering love, compassion, and selflessness. She was not only a loving wife but also a devoted mother, caring grandmother and an irreplaceable friend to many.
As a wife, Carol exemplified the true meaning of partnership. Her love and commitment to Phil, her husband, were the foundation upon which their life together was built. Through joys and challenges, she stood by his side, offering unwavering support and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and a sense of belonging.
As a mother, Carol poured boundless love and wisdom into the lives of her children – Dana, Brian and Jennifer. Her nurturing spirit, kindness, and patience shaped the individuals they are today. She left an indelible imprint on their spouses, as well. She leaves behind a legacy of values, instilled through the countless lessons taught with love and care. However, it was as a grandmother that Carol’s nurturing gifts truly shone. Her eyes sparkled with joy and pride as she watched her grandchildren (Manoli, Eleanor, Wyatt, Emerson, Owen and Evelyn) grow, offering unconditional love and wisdom. Her welcoming open arms and comforting words created an enduring legacy that will be cherished by her offspring forever.
Carol may be most frequently remembered for her sewing artistry. Her cross-stitch work can be found hanging on the wall, draped over the back of a couch or at the foot of a bed in the home of many of her family members and friends. Her grandchildren’s baby stroller was never without a blanket that Carol created just for them to keep them warm. She invested so much thought and time into each piece that they have become family heirlooms to be enjoyed by generations to come.
Carol was not only a loving wife, mother and grandmother but also a cherished friend to many. Her ability to connect with people on a personal level made her a confidante and source of comfort to those fortunate enough to know her. Her friendships were a testament to her genuine and caring nature.
A celebration of Carol's life will take place on Tuesday, January 23th at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church in Woodinville, WA.
May Carol rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who mourn her passing. While her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear.
