Edwin Hayes Davis, 88, of the Pisgah Community passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at his home. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Booneville. He worked in the education field as a Principal and his first position was in Memphis, TN and later he served 30 plus years at the South Corinth Middle School before retiring. He was an avid gun collector, and loved canoeing, taking train rides, traveling and fishing.
A celebration of life will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Hankins and Bro. Trey Lambert officiating. Burial will be in the Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Reba Holley Davis; his son Jonathan Davis (Melissa); his daughter, Rebekah Donahue (Brian); his sister, Saundra Hamblin; and his grandchildren, Hayden Donahue, Kathryn Donahue, Morgan Davis and Cloie Davis.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ila Prince Davis.
