He was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, Chief of the Prentiss County Rescue Squad, volunteer fireman, first responder, ham operator with the NEMRA, Memphis weather reporter, Secretary for Prentiss County Fire Association, member and sound coordinator for the Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, 23 years with Red Kap, security guard for Baptist Memorial Hospital Booneville, Radio Tech with Eastside Automotive, he was associated with various police departments, maintenance worker for North MS. Regional 3 and 4 and was the custodian for Booneville Middle School for 10 years.
Funeral service will be 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 29 at the Crossroads Full Gospel Church with Bro. William H. Burcham and Bro. Stanley Shook officiating. Burial with full fireman honors will be in the Gaston Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, July 28 from 4:00-9:00 PM at the church and until service time on Saturday.
He is survived by his Mother, Daisy Luvicey Miles Thomas of Booneville; Brother, James and Faye Thomas, sister, Mary Jane and Robert Delaney and brother, Donald and Mary Kay Thomas all of Booneville and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Father, William E. Thomas; nephew, James Harold Thomas, II; great nephew, Braiden Corey Thomas; grandparents, Archie and Mary Miles and Fred and Beatrice Thomas.
Pallbearers will be, Mike Johnson, Jerry Wallace, Carthel Morgan, Wesley Thomas, Craig Delaney and Brian Thomas. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Prentiss County Rescue Squad and Northeast MS Radio Amateurs Operators.
