Tomas was born in Pandan, Philippines on May 15, 1931, to Adriano and Salvacion Antonio. He was married to Chita Espino Antonio and is survived by his beloved children; Ann Frances Jay, Diane Murphy, Annabelle Testerman, Samuel Antonio and Richard Antonio. He is also survived by his greatest joy of 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Tomas was recruited in the Philippines by the U.S. Navy and joined in 1954. He made his home in National City, California in the mid 1960’s and remained there until his end of days. Tomas was a Republican, a patriot and a Vietnam Veteran who served honorably for 20 years in the U.S. Navy and then an additional 15 years at the Naval Supply Center in San Diego.
Most of his remaining years were spent on his family, cooking and his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren of which he adored.
Services are scheduled for Tuesday, November 26 at Glen Abbey Memorial Park. Viewing begins at 9:30am, Funeral Service at 10:30am and Burial at 11:30am. The reception will be held at the Chula Vista Golf Course, 4475 Bonita Road, Bonita, Ca 91902.
