Thomas Wayne Morris

Thomas Wayne Morris, age 89, of Bonita, California passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023. Thomas was born in Atoka, Oklahoma. His early life was filled with grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and childhood friendships that lasted a lifetime. He grew up in Oklahoma City where he met the love of his life, Muriel in high school. They married in January, 1954.

Thomas joined the Marine Corps shortly after they married. They moved all over the United States and had two children born along the way. He retired as a Major after 32 years of service. He later worked at General Dynamics, where after ten years, he retired permanently.

His life was focused on his wife, children and playing with his five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He had a fun loving spirit, great sense of humor and an active imagination. He was a wonderful, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Thomas leaves a legacy of rich stories and memories with his family. We love him and will miss him every day in our hearts. We look forward to joining him with other family members in heaven with our God and our Savior, Jesus Christ.

A visitation for Thomas will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Glen Abbey's Chapel of the Roses, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Glen Abbey's Chapel of the Roses. Reception to follow at Bonita Golf Course, 5540 Sweetwater Road.
