Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Ricardo was no exception. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Ricardo will be remembered as an exceptional person.
Ricardo’s life journey began on October 1, 1937. He first greeted the world in the Philippines. Ricardo was raised in Dinalupihan, Bataan, Philippines. His parents' were Romualdo L. and Barbara E. De Leon Enriquez. He was raised with two sisters Gloria, Lina and a brother Federico Enriquez. Ricardo was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his family sharing many life experiences over the years.
Ricardo was a typical teenager who had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. He graduated from Columban College and further continued his education by attending and graduating from the University of the East with a Bachelor of Science degree and majoring in Accounting.
Falling in love is a huge milestone for any person. Just knowing that you have met that special someone is a magical feeling. Ricardo experienced that with Epifania and the couple exchanged wedding vows on June 12, 1965. The wedding took place at St. John the Baptist in Dinalupihan, Bataan, Philippines. Empathic and loyal, Ricardo was committed to making his new family happy.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Ricardo was blessed with six children, all whom are females. Mary Eleanor E. Yao, Mary Jean Enriquez, Mary Ann Enriquez, Joyce E. Avena, May E. Paraiso and Erma Enriquez. Ricardo worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs, raising his children in a positive and nurturing environment. Later on, Ricardo was blessed with the gift 14 grandchildren.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Ricardo enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Ricardo worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career as a Certified Public Accountant.
A person's hobbies often mirror who they have become. Ricardo enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including singing and socializing. He was usually willing to share his interests with others.
Ricardo D. Enriquez left us on May 24, 2015. He is survived by his daughters, Mary Eleanor, Mary Jean, Mary Ann, Joyce, May and Erma. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A Funeral Mass was held at Mater Dei Catholic Church, in Chula Vista, California on Saturday, June 6, 2015. Ricardo was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
So this is Ricardo’s life, the sum of the man that he became. Simply stated, Ricardo was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being caring and giving, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Ricardo leaves behind him a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life Ricardo D. Enriquez touched will always remember him with a smile.
