Norma Dunn, age 82, of Chula Vista, California passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022.
A much-loved wife, mother, and nana. Norma was born in Stoke-On-Trent, England on 30 March 1940. After earning her teacher’s certification, she taught school in England until 1967 when, seeking a bit of an adventure, she accepted a teaching job on the island of Bermuda. While there, she met her American husband-to-be and became a Navy wife when she married him in 1968. Courtesy of the Navy, they arrived in the San Diego area in 1979 where they decided to settle. Norma’s primary profession was that of a librarian at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego. She was very active in St. John’s Episcopal Church in Chula Vista as the long-time leader of their many outreach efforts to the needy of Chula Vista and San Diego. Norma is survived by her husband, two sons and four grandchildren.
