Lynn Ross Turner

Lynn R Turner a handsome, loving, generous man and a great friend to many, passed away on November 12, 2021, at his home in National City after battling cancer for 2 years. He was born in San Diego, California at Paradise Valley Hospital on December 25, 1939. Raised in National City, he attended Sweetwater High continuing with a general contractor license in 1990. He married Mary Elena Fernandez in 1958, the love of his life, living in Jamul for 15 years, Lakeside for 15 years, and finally his home in National City for his remaining years. Lynn worked at Nalco plumbing for 30 years then went on to begin his own business National Plumbing and Construction. He loved horses and horseback riding with his daughter Karen, where they traveled all over the states to show horses. Lynn and Mary loved to travel, every summer they took the grandkids to their home away from home in Missouri. Lynn loved to spend his time canoeing down the Eleven-Point River, hunting, fishing, attending auctions, and spending valuable time with his family. Lynn’s sense of dry humor, kindness, optimism, and loyalty led him to have many lifelong friends. He is now at peace in the hands of the lord waiting to reunite with his family. Lynn is preceded in death by his daughter Margie, and survived by his wife Mary, his son Michael, Jed, and his daughter Karen, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Lynn will be held Monday, December 6, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Chapel of Roses, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A committal service will occur Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. Following the services, please come see us at 2233 Prospect Street, National City, CA 91950 for light refreshments.
