Josefina Ruiz Trevino

Josefina Ruiz Trevino passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the age of 92 in Bonita, California. Josefina was born on June 28,1932 in Tijuana, Mexico to her parents, Jesus and Josefina Ruiz, of Mexico.

She was a fifth generation Fitch. She was closely involved in the Fitch Family theater production

of “My Cousin Josefa”.

She was a Loving wife and mother. Married to Ubaldo Treviño Jr. They celebrated their 50th

wedding anniversary on a European cruise. They had three sons and three grandchildren. Fina

enjoyed being a docent for the Timken Museum. She supported the children’s charity for

underprivileged children sharing her knowledge of the art work in the museum with them. She

was an avid enthusiast of the San Diego Opera for many years. She greatly enjoyed traveling

the world. She had a great sense of openness and always made family and friends feel warm

and welcome. She had a very close group of lady friends and nieces with whom she often

traveled, played games, and took care of each other.

May her beautiful soul rest in peace.

Josefina is predeceased by her husband, Ubaldo Trevino Jr. and she is survived by her 3 children and 3 grandchildren.

A funeral service for Josefina will be held Monday, October 28, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Roses located in the center of Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902, followed by a committal service from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
