On the early morning of Sunday, March 5, 2023, our wonderful son, brother, family member, and friend, Jordan Parani Ingco, tragically passed away at the age of 23. He lost his courageous battle with depression.
Born in San Diego on May 21, 1999, this preemie was named after the great Michael Jordan and was destined to do great things. His “hard work works” mentality and expecting only the best led him to successfully accomplish the many goals he set forth in his short life.
Jordan attended Sunnyside Elementary School where he received the Optimist Award in 6th grade due to his enthusiasm to see the best in others and himself. He then went on to Bonita Vista Middle School where he eagerly participated in their flag football team. At the high school level, he played football and ran track for 4 years and even dabbled in basketball for a year. He excelled academically, completed the rigorous International Baccalaureate program, and earned an IB Certificate. He graduated from Bonita Vista High School and furthered his academic career at UC San Diego. Even though he no longer played sports at the collegiate level, he was still able to channel all that athletic energy to pursue his long-time passion for dancing through some of UCSD’s finest dance clubs. His childhood love for animals, especially sea life, helped him earn a Marine Biology degree.
Always kind and giving, Jordan was willing to joke around with you in effort to leave a smile and brighten your day. He loved family time, road trips to San Francisco, watching anime, listening to a variety of music, and trying new foods. His love for playing and watching sports not only led him to try new things, but also inspired him to want to pursue a career change to sports broadcasting.
Those who knew Jordan, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.
Jordan will be missed every day by his loving parents, Joel and Eileen Ingco, his brothers and sisters, Jahnathan, Emily, Jonas, and Elise, his grandparents, Angelito & Corazon Ingco, Hipolito Parani, his aunts, uncles, cousins, girlfriend, many great friends and of course, our family pup, Jotaro “Jojo”.
He will be lovingly reunited with loved ones we’ve lost, especially his grandmother, Thelma Parani, and our family dog, Tiger.
WE LOVE & MISS YOU SO MUCH SON! Thank you for being the light in our lives!
“Though you had to let go of this world to find peace, we hold on to your memory in our hearts, so you live forever.”
A visitation for Jordan will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A visitation will occur Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A funeral service will occur Monday, April 17, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace, 2766 Navajo Road, El Cajon, CA 92020.
