Mrs. Ismaela C. Belmonte was born on November 5, 1929 in Southern Leyte, Philippines. She was the daughter of Pedro and Martha Comabig. Ismaela was raised with two siblings, sisters, Petronila and Dionisia. She spent her youth in Southern Leyte where she attended junior high school and graduated in 1946.
Later in life, Ismaela was blessed with six children, daughters, Aida, Virginia, Ludivina, Luzviminda, Neonita, and Carolyn. Ismaela worked hard to be a good mother to her children and did her best to fulfill their needs.
On March 7, 1993 Ismaela exchanged wedding vows with her sweetheart Joseph Belmonte in National City, California. Empathic and loyal, Ismaela was committed to making her new family happy.
Fortunately, Ismaela enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Ismaela worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her occupation of housekeeping. She was employed for 13 years.
Ismaela’s faith was very important to her. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church. During that time, she sang with Sunrise Choir for Saint Mary's Catholic Church.
Sadly, Ismaela passed away on September 19, 2010 at Paradise Valley Hospital in San Diego, California due to heart failure. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Belmonte and her children, Aida Grant Hall, Virginia Maulas, Ludivina Palmer, Luzviminda Opon, Neonita Ocay, and Carolyn Baluyot. Services were held at Saint Michael's Catholic Church on September 27, 2010. Ismaela was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Simply stated, Ismaela was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Ismaela leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Mrs. Ismaela C. Belmonte.
