Dorothy Irene Ramm

Dorothy Irene Ramm, 97, passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of March 28, 2021. She was born December 17, 1923, in Omaha, Nebraska. There she met her true love, Charles Joseph Ramm. They were married on April 12th, 1947. They moved to Chula Vista, California in 1953, and became lifelong members of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Dorothy – “Dotty” to her friends – was a stay-at-home mother busy raising her six children and supporting her husband in his contracting business. Her family and friends will remember her for her abundant generosity, genuine interest in others, unwavering Catholic faith, and her delightful hospitality. Dorothy is survived by her children David C. Ramm (wife Pamela Hyde-Ramm), Dennis C. Ramm (wife Debra Ramm), Donald E. Ramm (wife Tracy Ramm), Charles J. Ramm Jr., Christopher P. Ramm (wife Barbara Ramm), and Mary Lou Flippen (husband John Flippen), 16 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Ramm. Rosary will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church from 5:30 to 7:00 pm on Friday, April 9th, with a rosary beginning at 6:00pm. The funeral will be at St. Rose of Lima church on Saturday morning, April 10th. Viewing will be possible in the vestibule at 8:30 am with mass beginning at 9:15. Burial service will take place at 10:00 am on Monday at Glen Abbey Cemetery in Bonita. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
