Ruth Estella Britt

Mrs. Britt was born in Brunswick County on February 22, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Benjamin Hobbson Pigott and Lottie Mae Chadwick Pigott. She was predeceased by her brothers, Donald, Conrad and McKee Pigott. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and the Shallotte Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband, Julian Britt; two sons, Charles Britt and wife Jan of Supply, Ben Britt and wife Tina of Shallotte; four grandchildren, Kimberly Britt (Chad Millard), Matthew Britt (Mandy), Savanah Britt, Lola Gambino (Frankie); a brother, Joe Pigott.

Funeral services will be held Thursday June 21, 2018 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2919 Galloway Rd., Bolivia with Reverend Anthony Clemmons. Interment will follow in the Gurganus Cemetery of the Shallotte Point Community.

Serving as pallbearers will be , Matthew Britt, Chad Millard, Ricky Clemmons, Dale Clemmons, Alan Dale Clemmons, Jeff Clemmons.

Friends are invited to a time of visitation with the family one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday afternoon.
