He was formerly affiliated with the Church of Christ in Grant, OK. Mike was passionate about our country and a brother to all who served and still serve this great Nation. He served his country in the Army’s 1st Battalion, 75th Rangers Regiment including two years as a Sniper fighting the drug war in Central America.
He loved Alabama Football, never missing an opportunity to listen to the game as he traveled the country driving his truck to keep the economy and the supply chain strong. He loved his time at home watching the games with family and friends. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and The Golden Eagles. He loved to collect coins, and was great at all baking and cooking. He never missed an opportunity to have a great steak when he was home off the road.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Linda Hensor Beck; two sons, Robert Allen Ferguson of Greensboro, NC and Corey Jason Ferguson of Elizabeth City, NC; grand-kitties, Allie, Itty Bitty, Jewels, Spanky, Punky, Hope and Little Bear (aka Batman); brothers, John Beck (wife Michelle) of Lawton, OK, and Joe Beck of Hugo, OK; aunt, Tommie Lou Redwine Kernell (husband Curtis) of Hugo. Mike had many nieces, nephews and cousins in Hugo, Lawton and Weaver whom he loved very much. He also leaves behind very special lifelong friends, you all know who you are…and we are thankful for your continued support to Mike and to his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Wilburn Beck and Mary Redwine Beck.
There will be a small service to be announced at a later date in Leland, NC.
