Pastor Leroy Allen Martin

Rev. Martin was born in Smithers, WV on January 1, 1940 and was son of the late Boyd H. Martin and Rosalee Petry Martin. He was also preceded in death by granddaughter, Tara Martin, and brother, Jerry Martin. He was founding Pastor of Victory Independent Baptist Church of Varnamtown and where he eventually retired.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Martin; sons, Timothy Martin and wife Abby of Bolivia, Boyd Martin and wife Michelle of Bolivia; daughters, Tammy Johnson and husband Mike of Bolton, Tina Martin of Bolivia; sister Rosalee Nelson of Shallotte; grandchildren, Karen Robbins, Adam Martin, Shay Martin, Jeremy Bullard, Laura Martin, Jonathan Bullard, Tiffany Lewis, Jacob Martin and Jason Martin; 16 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and his faithful canine companion, Sweetie.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, April 30, 2023 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Victory Independent Baptist Church with Pastor Johnathon Ash officiating. Burial will follow in the Mintz Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Bullard, Adam Ladd, Jeremy Bullard, Shay Martin, Jason Martin, Jacob Martin.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from five to seven p.m. at Victory Independent Church.
