Frances Carter Brown

Mrs. Brown was born in Brunswick County on November 24, 1938 and was daughter of the late Luther Johnson Carter and Ruby Stevens Carter. She was a long time member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where she served as church secretary for some time and also worked in the church kitchen. She was wife of the late John Stanton Brown.

She is survived by two sons, Steve Brown and wife, Joanna, of Supply and Dewayne Brown and wife, Lisa, of Bolivia; two grandchildren, Stephanie Brown of Leland and Katie Brown of York, SC; a very special sister and caregiver, Shirley Carter, of Calabash.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 24, 2024 at four o’clock in the afternoon at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. Jesse Mooney and Rev. Darryl Hester officiating. Interment will follow in the Holden Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Brown, Scott Brown, Charles Brown, Brent Carter, Christopher Benton and Jeff Carter.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Mrs. Brown at 580 Mt. Pisgah Rd, Supply, NC.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be directed to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Baptist Church building fund of Gideons International.
