Donald "Don" McCoy Hicks Jr., age 83, of Wilmington, North Carolina passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024. He was born in New Hanover County, NC a son of the Donald McCoy Hicks, Sr; and Letha Mae Mintz Hicks. He was a avid Hunter and fisherman and retired as a brick mason, having built many homes in the area. Donald never meet a stranger, always friendly to everyone to meet.
Survivors include his daughters Kristie Bernard of Wilmington, NC; Elizabeth Stanley; son Anthony Jackson, of Greensboro; two sisters Louise Overman, of Topsail Beach, NC; and Elizabeth Harmon of Wilmington, NC; nine grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Hicks.
A memorial service for Mr. Hicks will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 30, 2024 at the Chapel of White Funeral & Cremation Service in Bolivia, NC. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the funeral home.
