Jesus in Heaven.
Tom was born in Bronx, NY and raised in New City, New York where he had many fond memories growing up with his mother and father and two sisters, Lois and Fran. He loved New City, where his extended family all lived, as well as the many friends he had growing up. Amazingly, he has stayed connected to most of them throughout his years.Tom met his wife Debbie in New City at the young age of 12, and a few years down the road they became “sweethearts”, then married at the age of 20 on July 2, 1977. In 1979, they had their first child, daughter Lisa. Shortly after they moved to Florida in December 1979. In 1982 their second child Tony was born. Tom and Debbie raised their children in Deerfield Beach embedding values of love, life and God in their home. Tom loved God, he prayed daily and raised his kids with great Faith. Tom was a dedicated husband to his wife Debbie. He worked hard each and every day to provide for his family. He owned his own construction business when his kids were young. He had made so many friends that he had made along the way, everybody knew Tom and Tom knew everybody. Tom had made an impact on so many, especially his children. He loved to build, he loved to fix things and could fix anything and everything; he was extremely smart and creative in so many ways, and was definitely a perfectionist. Tom loved to help with community baseball as the volunteer equipment manager and coach when his son was growing up, he loved to be with his family and he loved his pets, his first dog, Sandy and his family dog, Aussie. Tom was a carpenter by trade and later became a builder. He has done so many building projects from the smallest crafts to homes, and even larger projects as a commercial shopping center. But the biggest thing he ever built in his life was his family. In 1999 Tom and Debbie moved to Lake Worth, FL with their son Tony, as his daughter was just in college. They built a beautiful home and created many new memories in the Lake Worth home for the next 22 years. Over these years, Tom married off his daughter and son, and expanded his family to welcome his son-in-law Keith, and his daughter-in-law Maria. He loved them both as if they were his own. In 2006, Tom and Debbie became grandparents and welcomed their first grandchild Drew. Over the next few years they welcomed more grandchildren, Dylan, Gianna, and Cristina, into their loving family to make us the “party of 10”. To say that Tom loved his grandchildren is an understatement. His family was his world, his wife was his life, and his children and grandchildren completed him. There wasn’t a day that went by that he didn’t have a story to tell about any one of them, and you know Tom could tell stories. In fact, Tom’s personality is the reason everyone loved him so much, they loved his humor, his sarcasm, and always seeked his advice, he was our and everyone's “go-to”. He was truly, one-of-a-kind. Tom loved many things, he loved his country, he was a patriotic man. Tom really enjoyed technology, all his devices, music, oil painting, remote control planes, and of course eating. He loved to eat, and he would say that often. He loved cocktails and wine, but only after 5pm. He loved being outside, he loved plants and herbs. Although, he was always at his happiest when he was with his wife, Debbie. They were always together, they love to do stuff together. They were more than childhood sweethearts, they were best friends and soul mates. Last year, Tom and Debbie purchased their retirement home in Port St. Lucie. Even though he only lived there short of a year because of his sudden and unexpected passing, the love that he built in his home and in his lifetime will forever stay with us all in our hearts until we see each other again in Heaven.
