Theresa Dewsnap

Theresa Marie Dewsnap 81 of Boca Raton, Florida passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 19 2018. Theresa was born July 19, 1936 in Boston, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Scalfani) Mascari.

Theresa grew up in the West End neighborhood of Boston, MA and graduated Boston’s Girls High School in 1954. Soon after high school, she married her sweetheart Robert Dewsnap and raised a loving family in the Boston area. They moved to South Florida in 1977 where she continued to provide a loving home. As the family’s matriarch, Theresa was the central figure of the Dewsnap family. She was happiest when surrounded by her greatest accomplishment, her 5 children, 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Theresa was known for her sense of humor, compassion, fabulous cooking and love of nice clothes and purses. She would always welcome you with a smile and kind word. She will be truly missed by all who loved her.

Surviving Theresa is her loving husband of 63 years Robert, her beloved children, Mary Ann Flignor and husband William of Colorado Springs, CO, Robert Dewsnap and wife Susan of Franklin, MA, Edward Dewsnap and wife Janet of Franklin, MA, Stephen Dewsnap and wife Nikki of Jupiter, FL, Anna Lombardo and husband Sonny of Boca Raton, FL, and her brother Michael Mascari and wife Rose of Mashpee, MA. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren, great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends during a celebration of her life on Thursday, April 26th from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Babione-Kraeer Funeral home, 1100 N. Federal Highway Boca Raton, FL 33432. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 27th, 2018 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 370 SW 3rd Street, Boca Raton, FL 33432. Theresa will be interred privately at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
