Sharon left to be with her Lord and Savior after a determined battle with cancer. Sharon was born and raised in Hartford, CT the daughter of Gloria and Edmund Cassidy and one of seven children.
Sharon met and married the love of her life, Michael Moss, on January 23, 1982, beginning a 38-year romance that touched many lives in Connecticut, New York and Florida.
Sharon was a devout Christian a who never missed an opportunity to share His love with others. Sharon was an avid decorator/collector of antiques and interesting items, a gifted lover of children and cats. She was a fan of Motown and had the gift of making any gathering a celebration.
Professionally, Sharon began as a licensed cosmetologist, worked through the years in Broward Public Schools and medical offices retiring five years ago from her position as Nursing Coordinator for BioScrip Infusion Center. “Mama Moss” as she was known, made her greatest impact on the lives of South Florida a residents’ in her role as wife, scorekeeper and team mom for her husband’s High School baseball team and camp program. Literally hundreds of young men and their families experienced her kindness, gentle touch and delicious home cooking.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband Michael, her mother Gloria, brother Brian, Kevin and Shawn and sister Charlotte. Her children Shane, Brandie, Nicholas and Jamie and seven grandchildren, Alexander, Lucas, Isabella, Rylee, Reese, Michael and Raegan as well as many extended family members and her “sister” Ruby Villedrouin. She is also predeceased by her father Edmund, brothers Dennis and John, her mother-in-law Sally Keenan and father-in-law Paul Moss.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the cancer charity of your choice.
