Ashley Lauren Nebel, 31, was granted her angel wings on January 26, 2016 in Highland Beach, FL. Her final months were spent there with her loving, adoring grandparents Philip and Eileen Mallon. She enjoyed her favorite meals, an ocean view, salt water in her hair and many wonderful shared activities with them. She recently expressed she felt the happiest she had felt in years.
Ashley was born on July 7,1984 in West Palm Beach, FL along with her “wombmate” twin sister Amy. Her early years were spent in Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens, FL before moving to Brentwood, TN at age 10. She graduated from Brentwood High School in 2002 and attended UT and MTSU.
Ashley was adventurous, loving and giving of spirit and pure of heart. We will remember her as lighthearted, joyful, loyal, tender, creative, imaginative, winsome, and funny. She could light up a room with her smile, stories and laughter. She treated others with kindness and compassion, often helping those in need. She was a certified Medical Assistant and had recently worked in Home Health. She was a caregiver at heart.
Survived by parents Jonathan Roman and Laurie Mallon Nebel of College Grove, TN, twin sister Amy (Chris) Pappas, brother Jeffrey Roman Nebel, adored niece Sophia Rose Pappas, maternal grandparents Philip and Eileen Mallon and a multitude of much loved Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Special Friends. She leaves her beloved dogs, Addy Mae and Dodge (rescued by her in busy traffic last year).
Ashley was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents John R. and Vivian D. Nebel, her Uncle Kevin Nebel and Aunt Shirley Nebel Hartigan.

A sunset beach celebration of her life was conducted on January 29 in Highland Beach, FL. The family will also host a celebration of her life with friends and family on Saturday.
