Arthur J. Calace, Jr., 90, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on Sunday morning, September 28, 2014. Arthur was born in Woodhaven, NY on July 15, 1924 and was the son of the late Arthur and Mary Calace. Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Linda, his daughters, Susan Calace-Wilklow, Janis Calace-Iliohan(Kim) and Carol Durkin(Kenneth Gibbons), his daughter-in-law Karen(Mark, deceased), his grandchildren Wendi Herzberg, Alicia Calace, Eric Calace, his great-grandchildren, Melissa Durkin, Melanie McKenna, Brendan McKenna, his great-great-grandchild Liam Earley and his sister Eileen DeBari. Arthur was a prominent real estate developer/owner and businessman on Long Island, NY for over 60 years. Among his accomplishments were The Tides, Tide Woods at Wading River, Tide Woods at Setauket, Tide Woods at Miller Place, Tide Woods at Mt. Sinai, all home developments in Suffolk County, LI, Great Beach Water Corp, Rocky Point Bowl in the In-Towne Shopping Center, Sports Plus, an entertainment center in Lake Grove, NY, Sayville Bowl, Melville Bowl, Syossett Bowl on LI and Lake Worth Bowl in Florida, Tall Tree Golf Course, The Ponds at Lake Grove, Mill Pond Golf and Great Rock Golf Course. His generosity extended to individuals, local hospitals and charities on LI and in Florida. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 2 2014 from 2:00-4:00 PM and arain from 6:00-8:00 PM at Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 North Federal Hwy., Boca Raton, FL 33432, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 on Friday, October 3, 2014 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 501 SW 3rd Ave., Boca Raton FL 33432.Arrangements under the direction of Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home, Boca Raton, FL.
