Robert Joseph “Robby” Turner III passed through transition Tuesday morning, August 6, 2024 in Bloomington, Indiana after a lengthy battle with illness. He was 59 years of age. Robby was born February 20, 1965 in Sinton, Texas, San Patricio County to Lisa and Bob Turner. He is survived by his daughter of 19 years, Charli Marie Turner; two ex-spouses, Sammi Turner and Sheryl Hairston and two step-sons, Geoffrey and Trent Baker. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Turner.
Robby spent many years in Rockdale, Texas working for Alcoa, was re-hired after layoff with Alcoa Warrick Operations in Evansville, Indiana. He retired from Warrick Operations when it shut down and then worked for Mead Johnson in Evansville followed by contract supervision for the General Motors plant in Bedford, Indiana. Robby and Charli moved to Bloomington, Indiana following a reduction in forces by General Motors where he later drove for Uber until his illness manifested.
Robby’s passion in life was music, guitar and tennis.
A life celebration will take place at his father’s ranch outside Harper, Texas at a future date. Please consider a donation to the American Cancer society in lieu of flowers.
