Patricia Ann Lanie

Patricia Ann Lanie, 84 of Bloomington died Saturday, June 11, 2016 in I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born December 26, 1931 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to Ray Hankins and Cora Lucille Wyant Hankins. She was a retired registered nurse. Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Jerry Lanie of Bloomington; three daughters, Cynthia LeBouef of Bloomington, Julie René Arthur of Bloomington and Aimee Christine Young of Ellettsville; a son, Stephen Paul Beard and wife Ann Foster Hughes of Bloomington; a granddaughter, Dianna Thomas of Ellettsville; and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ollie Beard, Jr.; a son, David Cayes Beard; and two brothers, Richard Hankins and George Hankins. Patricia was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church; she also enjoyed gardening, cooking decorating and spending time with her family. As a Wishard graduate, Patricia had a nursing career that spanned 31 years at Bloomington Hospital. There will be a private Memorial Service at a later date and Patricia will be intered in Rose Hill Cemetery next to her first husband Ollie Beard, Jr. Arrangements have been entrusted to Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, 700 W. Gourley Pike.
