Nancy Pearl Sparks

Nancy Pearl Dennis Sparks, 83, of Bloomington passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024 in I. U. Health, Bloomington Hospital. She was born March 9, 1941 in Sullivan County, IN to Orville Q. Livingston and Juanita Fern Chambers Livingston. She was retired from the Monroe County Auditor’s Office where she was a Grant Coordinator. Survivors include her daughter, Stacey (Tim) Ann Martin Huse of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, Zachary (Jamie) Martin Huse, Ash Huse and Jackson Parker Huse; and two great granddaughters, Olivia Ray Huse and Riley Jean Huse. She was preceded in death by her father, Orville Q. Livingston; her mother and 2nd father, Juanita (Donald) Dennis; a sister who died in infancy, Vickie Marie Livingston; her husband, James Borter Sparks; and a son, Dennis Dean Martin. Nancy was a 1959 graduate of Linton High School. In addition to her work at the Auditor’s office, Nancy volunteered for several years at Bloomington Hospital and Childs Elementary School to help students with reading. She loved watching sports and in particular watching I. U. Sports, was a fan of Larry Byrd and Patrick Mahomes; was an excellent quilter and seamstress and enjoyed gardening. Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday, April 22, 2024 at 1:00 PM in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 East Third Street, with Chaplain Shawn Gerber officiating; entombment will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
