Margaret A. “Peggy” Page died unexpectedly at her home Friday morning, July 14 in Bloomington. Born March 30, 1947 in Mattoon, Illinois, she was the daughter of Glenn O. and Margaret (Davis) Owens. She worked as a dental assistant and receptionist for Dr. Huff and Dr. Peffley. She was an active and founding member of Psi Iota Xi social sorority, a member of the Bloomington Lions Club and also St. Paul United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two nieces; Beth Rush of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania and Amy Ray of Bloomington, a step-daughter, Rebecca Burton, of Portland, Oregon; two step-sons, Benjamin (Jamie) Page, of Schaumburg, Illinois and Wesley Buher, of Bloomington; three step-grandchildren, Harlow Page, Gabrielle Willoughby and Cellie Burton; two sisters-in-law, Rosemarie Page, of Seal Beach, California and Adelia (Dr. Charles) Nichols, of Huntington Beach, California and three brothers-in-law, William (Jeannette) Page, of Oswego, Illinois, Paul Page, of Morris, Illinois and Thomas Page, of St. Albans, New York.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, her 1st husband, Russell Buher, her second husband, J. Patrick Page, on December 31, 2016 and one nephew, Bill Ray.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church; 4201 W. Third St; Bloomington followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be provided following the service for family and friends. A private family burial of both Pat and Peggy’s cremated remains will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.
