Margaret (Peggy) Ann Houston was tragically robbed of the balance of her life some time between Oct. 10 and Oct. 11, 2022. She was born Nov. 23, 1946 and grew up in Ohio, Michigan and Canada. She retired to Bloomington, IN after a long career as a librarian at Indiana University.
She loved losing herself in a good book, decorating her immaculate home, exploring art fairs, laughing at British comedies, sending beautiful birthday cards and unique gifts, taking art classes, listening to music, and traveling the world. She donated her time to local animal sanctuaries and shelters, frequented the dog park with her beloved Yorkie, and always dressed with flair. She was a statuesque woman with a fantastic, slow laugh, and wry sense of humor. She made lasting friendships and bravely bucked stereotypes while choosing her path through this world.
She will be greatly missed by her siblings Martha Potter and Ross Potter, her faithful dog Piper, and her extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Schalk, and parents Don and Idabelle Potter of Huntington Woods, MI.
Please consider donating to the Exotic Feline Rescue Center in Center Point, IN in her honor.
Services to be held at a later date.
