Larry Dale Terrell, Sr., 73 of Bloomington died Thursday, March 24, 2016 in I.U. Health, Bloomington Hospital. He was born on August 31, 1942 in Bloomington to Olan White and Ruby Kelly White and then adopted by Lawrence M. Terrell. He was a retired mechanic from Royal Chevrolet.
Survivors include his wife, Donna S. Bolton Terrell of Bloomington; two sons, Larry D. Terrell, Jr. of South Carolina and Joel Allen Terrell of Dugger; a daughter, Lori D. Klein (Kevin) of West Virginia; two step daughters, Joyce Brumfield of Martinsville and Michelle Satter (Jamie) of Morgantown; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; three brothers, Danny White (Vickie) of Indianapolis, Rex Porter (Jo) and Doug Porter (Pam) both of Bloomington; two sisters, Dorothy Riensch of Bloomington and Jane White of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence M. Terrell and Ruby Kelly Terrell; his birth father, Olan White; his step mother, Bonnita White; five brothers, Russell Terrell, Lonnie Terrell, Leon White, Johnnie White and Kenny White; four sisters, Janet Jones, Diana Lazell, Sharon Pittman and Joella White.
Larry was a member of the Abundant Life Tabernacle; other hobbies included watching I.U. sports, quilting, hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 East Third Street, with Pastor Michael Deckard officiating; burial will follow in Unionville Community Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, March 28th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM also in the funeral home.
