Fred Leon Kramer

Frederick “Fred” Leon Kramer, 80, of Bloomington, IN passed away on Friday, March 3rd, 2023. He was born October 24th, 1942 in Maria Stein, Ohio to Lucille J. Kramer and Albin H. Kramer. Fred graduated from Versailles High School. In 1962, he met the love of his life, Joyce Kramer. They married November 9, 1963 and were together for 57 years before Joyce’s passing in 2021. Fred loved spending time with his family, bowling, fishing, and golfing. Golf was a big part of Fred’s life in later years as he was a member of Cascades Golf Course. Fred is survived by his children-- son, Dennis L. Kramer of Bloomington, IN; two daughters, Karen Kramer Strachan of Bloomington, IN and Melissa J. (Tyler) Waite of Lake Stevens, Washington; three grandchildren, Gabrielle, Jocelyn, and Penelope Waite; his sisters, Diane (Paul) Post and Jane (Steve) Perez; brother-in-law, Don (Donna) Kremer; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Albin Kramer and sister, Shirley Kremer. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11th, 2023 from 11am-12:15pm at Day and Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home (4150 E. 3rd Street, Bloomington, IN 47401). A Catholic mass will be held at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church (4607 West State Road 46, Bloomington, Indiana 47404-9255) at 1pm on Saturday March 11th as well. His final resting place will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
