Marcella C. Moore, 100, of El Paso, passed away March 27, 2022. She was born January 14, 1922 to Liston and Ora (Clark) Chaille on the family farm and graduated from Indiana Central College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music.
Surviving are her children Dennis and Marcia Moore of St. Louis, MO: Gilford (Daniella Barroqueiro) of Bloomington; grandchild Luke Brown of St. Louis, MO; step-grandchildren Samantha Miller of Bloomington and Jesse Miller of Normal; and sister Lucille Cummings of Terre Haute, IN. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband Eugene J. Moore; brother Maurice Chaille, and sisters Ruth E Johnson and Virginia Clendenning.
Marcella was a very loving mother and grandmother, who had an appreciation for artistry. She enjoyed going to art museums and was a pianist most of her life. She was a long-time office manager at Henning Strouse Jordan and Stephens. While living in St. Louis, Marcella worked at Kirkwood Children's House. She loved gardening, coming from a farming community, and was a faithful member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bloomington-Normal.
Cremation rites have been accorded with East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 3:00 pm. A small gathering will follow.
