Kenneth E. Hopkins

Ken was born December 11, 1932 in Cherryvale, Kansas to Harry O. and Florence L. (Atterberry) Hopkins. He married Ellen N. Wheelock on December 11, 1953.

Ken was a Printer for Pantagraph Printing in Bloomington; he was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church for over 50 years. He enjoyed playing guitar, but above all he loved spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.

Survivors include his wife of almost 60 years Ellen of Bloomington; children: Duane (Norita) Hopkins of Bloomington, Gary (Linda) Hopkins of Greenup, Il; son-in-law: Ron Porter of Terre Haute, IN; grandchildren: Lynnette (Scott) Williams of Trilla, IL, Dusty (Melissa) Hopkins of Bloomington, Jason (Michelle) Hopkins of Cincinnati, OH, Jonathan (Corina) Hopkins of Brandenburg, KY, Jeremy Hopkins of Greenup, IL and Jon Robbins of Bloomington; great-grandchildren: Meaghan, Kaiden, Rylan, Leah “Sunshine”, Jaedyn, Landon, Luke, Maverick and Rodney; sister: Mary Cordes of Peoria; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Cathy; sister: Mildred Dollar; brother: Roy Hopkins.

Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Tuesday November 5, 2013 at East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 Airport Rd, Bloomington, IL 61704. Funeral Service will be at 11am Wednesday November 6, 2013 at East Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
