Joy Marie Pauley, 83, of Normal passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 1 a.m. at Heritage Health-Normal. She was born April 1, 1935 in Hudson, the daughter of Chester and Edith Sherman Miller. She married Robert Sutter on August 21, 1954, and he preceded her in death on January 24, 1975. She later married Gary Pauley on December 11, 1976, and he preceded her in death on April 8, 2011.
Joy was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomington.
Joy is survived by a son, Kenneth R. (Karen) Sutter of Hudson; three stepsons, Dr. Michael (Terri) Pauley of Bloomington; Dr. Scott (Cindy) Pauley of Rochester, Minnesota; and Kevin (Lisa) Pauley of Mahomet; fifteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a brother, Wayne (Betty) Miller of Carlock.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she is preceded in death by a brother, Dale Miller.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington, with Pastor Sara Isbell officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bloomington.
