Joseph Keith Penn

He is survived by his two sons, Keith Cordell Penn of Rochester, MN and Joseph William Penn (mother, Marilyn Holcomb) of Normal, IL; five siblings, Jobeth (Mike) Mills of Eureka, IL, Mindy (Ross) Manuel of Normal, IL, Darrell (Sarah) Basham of Springfield, IL, Jonathan Basham of Chicago, IL and William Basham of Wapella, IL; one niece, great niece and several nephews and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a 30 year member of Laborers Local 362 and was currently employed as a Field Representative for the Illinois Secretary of State.

Joe enjoyed following Little Joe’s sports and activities, riding Harley Davidson’s, fishing, shooting, attending concerts, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs games. He loved telling stories and generally being a jokester whenever possible. According to Little Joe, he is “the silliest in the family.”

Arrangements are through East Lawn Funeral home 1102 Airport Road, Bloomington, IL 61704. Private family services will be held with a celebration of life to follow at a later date.
