Joseph Allen Nechkash

Joe was born on May 6, 1985 in Normal, IL to Jeffrey and Kelly Nechkash. He grew up in LeRoy and Downs. He attended Tri Valley High School and was Six-Sigma Greenbelt Certified. He was a Site Supervisor for Advanced Technology Services in conjunction with Caterpillar.

Joe enjoyed fishing, cooking, camping, boating, hunting, woodworking, connoisseur of fine beers. He was an avid Tennessee Vols fan and was a general handyman. You could say Joe loved the outdoors. He loved to spend time with his friends and family including his four-legged family; George, Riley, Mabry and Kershaw.

He is survived by his wife, Jennie Larson-Nechkash; parents, Jeff Nechkash and Kelly Cook-Duby; two brothers, Graham (Audriana) Nechkash of Bloomington and Jordan (Ashley) Nechkash of Carlock; grandmother, Joan Cook-Cothern; three nephews, Wyatt, Case and Clayton Nechkash. Also surviving are several loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Cook, Sr.; grandparents, John and Evelyn Nechkash and step-father, Don Duby, Jr.

His life will be celebrated with a Memorial Visitation to be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 10:00 to 12:30 with a Memorial service from 12:30 to 1:30 in St. Mary’s Church, 108 E Washington St, Downs, IL 61736.
