Janice R Norton

She was born July 15, 1928 in Arrowsmith, IL, daughter of Floyd and Marjorie Ray Taylor. She married Robert F. Norton on May 11, 1947 in Anchor, he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Sheryl Zimmerman.

Surviving are one son, David (Peggy) Norton of Bloomington; three daughters, Karen (Pat) Butcher of Brandon, FL, Robin (Fred) Ippolito of Chesterfield, MO and Carmen McDermott of Bloomington. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Janice was an avid golfer and enjoyed reading. She was a member of the Delphi Sorority and Lakeside Country Club, both in Bloomington.

She was a member and active volunteer at Wesley United Methodist Church in Bloomington, where memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012. Cremation rites have been accorded. Arrangements have been entrusted to East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. A private entombment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington at a later date.
