Harold "Vic" V. Baize

He was born September 5, 1926, in McHenry, KY to Wilbert and Belvia Lee (Sorrels) Baize. He was a proud veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy. He was a Radioman Third Class. He married Eleanor Laverne McNutt on December 21, 1948. Vic was a member of Arrowsmith Christian Church, the Masons and Arrowsmith American Legion Witt Webber Carrell Post #617. He loved to fish, boat, camp, travel and being with people.

He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Eleanor; his two loving children, Jenny (Bruce) Schleeter of Colfax and Gary (Karen) Baize of Columbus, IN; four grandchildren, Sherri (Matt) Bisbee of Fleming Island, FL, Scott Baize of Columbus, IN, Ryan (Amber Garrison) Baize of Columbus, IN and Corey (Jaimie) Baize of Phoenix, AZ; four great-grandchildren, Jalen Kindle of Philippi, WV, Grant Bisbee of Fleming Island, FL, Pearce Bisbee also of Fleming Island, FL and Connor Baize of Columbus, IN; two sisters, Martha Curtis of Bloomington, IL and Marjorie Pruitt of Beaver Dam, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Noble, Charles, Onis and Edward; and one sister, Carolyn Phipps.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of Vic will be held at a later date. The family is entrusted with East Lawn Funeral Home.
