Dorothy May Ferguson

She was born July 17, 1932, in Fogertown, KY the daughter of Herman and Elizabeth(Lizzie) Westerfield Gaines. She was united in marriage to Clint Ferguson, Jr on October 30, 1948, until his passing on April 16, 2013.

Surviving is her daughter, Kelly(Harold) Smith, with whom she resided, Theodore, AL; son, Terry(Margie) Ferguson Springfield, IL; son, Steve(Patty) Ferguson Heyworth, IL; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister, Loada Sanders; two brothers, Ralph and Paul Gaines.

Dorothy and Jr owned Dottie's Cafe, Heyworth for many, many years and was known for her wonderful cooking and pie baking. She was a very generous and loving person.

She loved front porch time in her rocking chair, watching the cars go by and the pair of little Eastern Bluebirds with their nest in the corner. She enjoyed her many car rides and visits to Bellingrath Gardens and The USS Alabama.

Her presence will be dearly missed.

The funeral will be on Monday, March 20 at 11:00 with visitation 1 hour before at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington.
