Diana Patricia Ping, 74, resident of Martin Health Center in Bloomington, passed away at 4:23 a.m. Thursday, December 21, 2017 in the loving care of the Westminster Village staff. She was born March 17, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland; the daughter of John and Adele (Canitz) Huebschmann, and Ray Donet. She married Dick Munn, and later married Ray E. Ping, Jr. on December 3, 1988 in Decatur. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2013.
Diana loved sewing, quilting, and puzzles. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities. In her early career, she was a flight attendant for American Airlines. She has now earned her second pair of wings.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Bradley of Mascoutah, Illinois; and Suzy (Patrick) Mahoney of Bloomington; a son, Dave Munn of Littleton, Colorado; five grandchildren, Jessica Bradley of Knoxville, Tennessee; Amanda Bradley of Edwardsville; Kyle Spencer of Cooksville; and Peyton and Reese Mahoney, both of Bloomington. She is also survived by a brother, Jack (Charlotte) Huebschmann; and a sister, Joan Beatty, both of Youngstown, New York; as well as several nieces, nephews and former in-laws.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
