Cremation rites have been accorded per her wishes and her ashes will be buried at East Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
A celebration of her life is being planned for a later date by her family.
Connie Louise was born Aug. 22, 1954, in Gibson City, the daughter of Jones Edward and Frances Louise Adams Wallen. She married David Hopper on Sept. 11, 1982, in Bloomington. David died Jan. 28, 2004.
She is survived by three brothers, Ben (Gayle) Wallen, Pekin; Dennis Wallen, Bloomington; and Don (Sharon Halpin) Wallen, Cornell. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Denna (Craig) Satchwell, LeRoy; Laura (Jeremy) Garrett, Groveland; Craig (Natalia) Wallen, Miami, Fla.; and Kayden Wallen, Bloomington; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Carson, Delaney and D.J. Satchwell, Aidan and Rosabella Wallen and Analise Garret.
Preceding her in death were her parents, grandparents, an infant brother and her husband.
Connie grew up in Saybrook and was a graduate of Saybrook High School. She was a member of Saybrook Christian Church. She worked for Deluxe Check Printers and Diversified, and was the coat checker at many Illinois State University basketball games and other functions.
She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Upon her name change to Hopper, Connie became a collector of anything froggie. She dearly loved all dogs.
