Charles "Chuck" Wayne McLaughlin

He was born on Jan 2, 1924 in Bloomington, the son of the late Raymond S. and Carola (Swenson) McLaughlin. He married Jeanne Burger on July 21, 1945 and she preceded him in death in 2012.

Mr. McLaughlin served in the U. S. Marine Corp during the World War II era. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He worked for Eureka Company as Manager of Purchasing for 40 years, retiring in 1988. Mr. McLaughlin was a member of 2nd Presbyterian Church, and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan, was an avid golfer, and a model railroader.

He is survived by 2 sons Brad (wife Melissa) McLaughlin of Boise, Idaho and Greg (wife Shari) McLaughlin of Huntsville, Alabama; a daughter Nancy (husband Jim) Bauman of Springfield, IL, 6 grandchildren, and 10 geat-grandchildren.

Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers.

Services are under the direction of East Lawn Funeral Home, 1102 E. Airport Rd., Bloomington. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a private inurnment will take place at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1002 E. Airport Rd., Bloomington.

Memorials may be made to the El Paso Golf Course or to 2nd Presbyterian Church.
