Gerardo Sanchez

Gerardo Sanchez Rodriguez passed away on August 31, 2024 in Riverside, California. He was born on December 17, 1955 in Colima, Mexico to his parents Maria Rodriguez Madrigal and Guadalupe Sanchez Sanchez. He was one of 9 children. He spent his youth growing up in Colima, then moved to guadalajara as a young adult to pursue job opportunities.

Gerardo then moved to Washington State to work in the fields. He spent most of his time working in the hope. Pre-marriage, Gerardo produced a daughter with Blanca Tovar. He then went on to marry Marina Diaz, who he met in Washington in the late 1970's.

Gerardo moved his wife and 4 young children to southern California in the mid 1980's. He began working alongside friends and family in construction. He acquired another daughter from his most recent relationship to Amanda Flores. In his spare time, Gerardo loved to watch soccer. He also enjoyed traveling to Mexico. He instilled a strong work and education ethic in his children.

Gerardo will be greatly missed by family and friends. Gerardo is survived by his daughter Jennete Zavala; his son Mario Sanchez; his son Alejandro Sanchez; his daughter Monica Sanchez; his daughter Kendra Magana; his daughter Yamillet Sanchez; as well as 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
