Irene Walsh

Irene Kearney Walsh, 70, of Fairfax, Virginia, passed away on March 16, 2017.Irene was born in Newark, NJ in 1946. She graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ in 1964 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College, Washington, D. C.in 1968. After graduation from college, she married and raised two sons. In addition, she was a legal secretary for over thirty years, primarily with the firm Kamerow and Kamerow of Washington, D. C. She will always be remembered for her kindness and thoughtfulness. Arrangements are by the Zarro Funeral Home (www.zarrofuneralhome.net), 145 Harrison St., Bloomfield. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 21st from 6-8 pm. Kindly be at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 21st at 8:45 am followed by a mass at 10: 00 at Queen of Peace Church, N. Arlington. The entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington.Irene is survived by her sons Michael Patrick Walsh and his wife Jianqin Jiao of Memphis, TN and Major Kevin Colin Walsh and his wife Adrienne stationed in Stuttgart Germany, as well as, their four children: Jude, John, Peter and Lucy; and her sister, Kathleen Kearney of Fairfax VA. She was predeceased by her parents, Irene and John Kearney.
