Vincent Charles Cusimano Jr. was born on April 28th, 1942. Vincent was in the Air Force in his youth and usually at the track or in a pool hall in his prime. He wasn't a perfect man, far from it. But perfection is boring and Cusi was anything but boring. Truth is, he was a lot of things: Father, son, brother, cousin, friend, husband (several times), gambler, athlete, disabled, cad, kind, winner, loser and an icon, to a few. Vincent lived life the way he wanted to live it and lived it as unapologetically himself. He could charm the pants off anyone (there are many women who can attest to that) and he was always good for a few laughs whenever he was around, which might not have been as much as some of us needed, but it was enough that his passing leaves a hole in many people’s hearts. He loved his family and they will deeply miss him.
Vincent is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Sara and Mac Heidt, his father, Vincent Cusimano Sr., and his brother, Frank. He is survived by his children, Tracy Hodges, Jill Crim, Andrea Cusimano and Vince "Mac" Cusimano, his brother, Sam, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and cousins.
A visitation for Vincent will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Johns-Ridout's Mortuary-Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Ave Sw, Birmingham, AL 35211. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM. A committal service will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
