Susan Story Aschton

ASCHTON, SUSAN STORY, age 77 of Pinson, passed away Friday, July 10, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Coy and Lillian Story; daughter, Robyn Laine Aschton; and brother, Jimmy Story. She is survived by her daughters, Cindi Hipp Thomas and Michelle Aschton Griffin (Steve); son, Shane Aschton (Duanne); sister, Norma Story Meeks; grandchildren, Heather Munoz (Eddie), Brittney Cruz (Rudy), Ashley Perez (Omar), Jessica Miller (Seth), Jerrod Coney (Logan), Kailey Brooke Griffin, Bryan Colby Griffin, Elizabeth Beam, Lydia Beam and Eric Beam; great-grandchildren, Avery, Sophia, Monica, Cohen, Kensley and Carson; and a host of family and friends. Susan was born and raised in the Hopewell community and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She retired from Jefferson County Environmental Services after many years of service. Susan spent her life dedicated to her church and family. Her family will celebrate her life with visitation on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 2:00–3:00 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with her service beginning at 3:00. Burial will follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. The family gives thanks to Hospice and Covenant Care for their care and dedication.
