Mom,
On June 8, 2015 our lives changed forever. There are no words that can express the sadness in my heart from missing you each and every day.
I reach for the phone to call and tell you I found a new place that has the best chicken salad or to tell you a great idea I have for us to make at Christmas time and realize you are no longer here.  I have needed you when my day has gone all wrong or when I am feeling bad and need some of your homemade soup.  I wanted to tell you what Preston Grace is going to be for Halloween and how fast she is growing.  I wanted to share with you my personal theories on the direction my life has taken. I think of you all through the day and night.  I can't believe you are gone and I miss you so much. 
How I wish I could call you and talk about the things going on. Did you hear about that new lifetime movie coming on in a couple of weeks? I know you would have liked watching it.  I find myself feeling guilty to watch it because you are not here to watch it.  I miss your laughter, your smile and that expression you give when I am not telling you everything.  You always seem to know everything.  Amber moved with you.  You would be so happy.  You wanted her to live with you guys to save for a house.  Dad tried his new shifts, but didn't like so he went back to his strange shifts.  My heart hurts for him.  I get so sad when we go out and he's all alone.  I couldn't imagine what he is feeling.  I wished I could take any hurt away from him.  Shane is taking classes to become Catholic  YES!  Josh started a new job. Taylor is going back to Honduras for Christmas.  You never got to see those pictures she had from her first trip.  I did not realize all the people who come to you for guidance.  I have no clue how you did or handled all of it.  You were such a strong person.  I sometimes wished it had been me instead of you.  I think you are so much stronger and could have kept everything together Mom.  
You're the first person I called when I receive great news and when I receive bad news.  You know the perfect words to make me see everything in a different way.  You are my contact person at all of my doctors' offices and I don't want that to change.  When I received the news about Maw Maw being in an accident my first thought was I needed to find out where you were and make sure you were ok to drive.  Then I realized you were no longer here.  
I hear your voice everyday.  I smell your scent everyday.  I wake up each morning thinking this is a dream and then I realize its not and a huge pain shoots through my body.  You are the one that gets us all through bad times and helps us all along.  You are not here to do that and I just can't imagine life without you.  
In your last moments here did you suffer?  Were you scared?  Me and dad tried to save you.  We did and I am so sorry I couldn't.  I am not angry at you or God anymore for leaving me, but I still wonder if I had made it to you a minute earlier would this still be the outcome?  Now that you're in heaven, I can imagine everyone is enjoying you as we did.  Especially the little children.  
 I know how much you loved BBQ Ribs  baby back.  Me and Dad made some on 4th of July.  You would be proud.   Oh mom, I miss you. The 4th of July was not the same without you. I decorated your tree too.  I know how much you enjoyed doing that.   I really didn't want to go without you.  I enjoyed our times at the beach on the 4th and then those trips by ourselves so we could go shop or do what we wanted.  I am so sad that I will never be able to do that again with you.
My birthday is tomorrow and I am so sad.  Maw Maw would usually make me a pork chop and you would make something special for me.  I know I always received a text by 12:01 AM telling me Happy Birthday.  Should I celebrate it?  I know dad is having wings Sunday to celebrate my birthday and Trish's.  It's going to be a sad and lonely day without you there.  You always made extra stuff or just your touch made it special.  I pray Preston Grace doesn't forget you.  You loved your Girlie Girl!  She adored her Nana.  It breaks my heart to know she will not know you like we do.  I know we can tell her, but it's still not the same. 
It's really hard on holidays or our family events we have.  It's hard driving past your house to go home because I always made that stop even if it was just for a minute.  Your presence is deeply missed. I know you are in a better place, but I still long for you to be here.  Is that selfish, mom?  I remember our last time together and I keep wishing I would have stayed longer and given you such a big hug with telling you how much I love you and appreciate you.  
I wish you could give me some advice now. There was such wisdom in your words. I didn't realize it then, because I spent most of my time worrying about things that really didn't matter. I know you are happy mom, and you are healthy in Heaven.  Maybe it's your turn, mom. Maybe now you can take care of me. 
My children are no longer children, my heart is no longer full, and my life is not the same since you've been gone. The example you demonstrated in my life has given me such love. Your strength and devotion in life has blessed mine. You were the best friend I could ever have and I love you dearly!

I am sorry to hear about the passing of Sara.  I just now read it on line.  My prayers is with you Danny and your family.

We are so sorry for your loss. Sara was a beautiful lady (inside and out)! Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you. We love & miss you!

We are heartbroken to hear this sad news! I'm so fortunate to have so many fun memories of spending time with "Nana" and the whole family in Gulf Shores. Sending lots of hugs and prayers to this wonderful family.
