Growing up, Scott was involved in many activities, football, baseball, and the boy scouts. He graduated from W.A. Berry High School in 1982.
He lettered in Cross Country and was an Eagle Scout, Vestavia Troop 1.
In 1987 he graduated from UAB and was a social member of Tau Kappa Epsilon, Pi Delta Chapter. Scott loved sharing his love of fishing, golf, and Alabama football with his nephews and life long friends. He kept his friends close and dear to his heart from elementary school, college to the present “Flocking with the Eagles”. Scott spent 32 years working with Travelers insurance company where his co-workers became like family to him. He always talked lovingly of his wife and daughter and shared his love with them daily. His last words were of his love for them. Had he been with a very close friend there is no doubt his last words would have been “Spock Out”. He will be dearly missed.
Scott is preceded in death by his father Richard Clarence Walker and his mother Annie Emojean Walker of Vestavia Hills, AL. Scott is survived by his wife Leigh Ann Walker, daughter Sara Walker of Franklin, TN; his brother Edward Walker (Kunho) of Arkansas.
A Celebration of Life Service for Scott will be held on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Elmwood Cemetery & Mausoleum, Birmingham, AL.
Due to the concerns surrounding Covid-19, and in compliance with city and county ordinances, social distancing is required.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.johnsridoutselmwoodchapel.com for the Walker family.
