Robert attended Ensley High School and went on to earn undergraduate at the University of Alabama and PhD later becoming a Professor of Chemistry at Alabama.
Later in life, Robert married his longtime sweetheart Diane Denton Daniel and while they didn’t have children, they certainly influenced many. They were both legacy active members of Hunter Street Baptist Church and loved the Lord with all their hearts.
Robert is survived by his nephews David Daniel, Tom Daniel and their families and predeceased by Diane Daniel, Mary Elizabeth Daniel, Claude Daniel Sr., and brother Claude Daniel Jr.
Robert and Diane are now reunited in heaven with family, and we are looking forward to seeing them again. They are not in our past, but in our future.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday August 31, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at John Rideout’s – Elmwood Chapel 800 Dennison Ave SW, Birmingham, AL.
Celebration of Life Service to commence at 11:00 AM with Reverend Barry Daniel officiating followed by a short graveside; weather permitting.
