Williams, Ray Edward, born 18 Oct 1933 passed away January 4, 2014. He proudly served in the US Air Force for 12 years and was a Korean War Veteran. Ray then worked for many years in telephone construction in the Birmingham Area and retired from Wright and Lopez Construction in 1995. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and father who always put his family first. Ray is preceded in death by his sons Ray Patrick Williams and Steven Edward Williams and is survived by his loving wife Mary Ayres Williams, sons: Randal Scott Williams and Mark Louis Williams, Granddaughter Jessica Odom Phillips, Grandson Alexander Scott Williams and brother Winston Williams. A service honoring the life of Ray will be held Tuesday 7 January at Sharon Baptist Church, Pinson Alabama. The viewing will begin at 1pm and funeral service will begin at 2pm followed by a graveside service.
