Peer Skidmore Bailey

Peer Skidmore Bailey, age 75 of Birmingham, AL passed away Thursday, January 21. Born in Rochester, Indiana and having been a Navy child he was raised in many places across the country. He attended Marion Military Institute for two years then graduated college from Samford University with a Bachelor’s in Business Management. He started his career in the technology industry at IBM and went on to software development for several banks over the years. He ended his career at Regions Bank. He was a member of Oakmont United Methodist Church for many years, he really enjoyed his church family. Peer enjoyed playing tennis and swimming in his younger years. He also was an avid reader and loved all things History. He always was up to date on current news events, his memory was impeccable, and he had an obsession with Chapstick that was unbreakable. He was a wonderful husband, father, and brother who will truly be missed. He was preceded in death by his father Max P. Bailey Jr., his mother Norine S. Bailey, wife Patricia D. Bailey, and daughter Leigh Ann Bailey. He is survived by his daughter Kristin R. Bailey, brother Max P. Bailey III (Paula), Tim C. Bailey (Cel), Alex V. Bailey, 7 nieces and 4 nephews. A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in the Prayer Garden on February 13, 2021 at 11:00 am.
